Every pair is cut from 100% genuine, ethically sourced full-quill ostrich hide. Never embossed. Never printed. Never imitated.
Full-quill ostrich is the highest grade of the hide, taken from the crown of the bird where the quill bumps are densest. It is prized for three reasons: it is instantly recognizable by touch, it is among the most durable exotic leathers in the world, and it ages beautifully — the quills develop a deep, buttery sheen with wear, so your pair looks better in year five than it did on day one.
Imitation "ostrich-look" leather is stamped with a machine pattern that repeats like wallpaper. Real full-quill never repeats — every bump sits where a feather actually grew. That is the difference you are paying for, and it is the difference people notice across the room.
